Welcome!
Food Science: Fact! or Fiction? is a series where our research chef,
Matt Geisler, answers food science questions that are commonly asked to
our Field Sales Services team. Using a mixture of hard science,
lighthearted humor, and some fancy props, Matt will guide you through
the confusing world of food and what it means for your health and well
being.
You may think that oil goes through dangerous or unhealthy processes; who
could blame you when they have names like bleaching and deodorizing?
This month on Food Science: Fact? or Fiction! we are going to discuss
the four processes that oils commonly go through and show that they are
chemical free, harmless, and sometimes necessary for a quality, safe
oil. As always, expect solid facts and a ton of fun!
