What is Carb Cycling?

Are you Carb Cycling?

What is Carb Cycling?
Carb cycling is an eating plan with alternating high-carb and low-carb days. It’s that simple. It also has built-in reward days or reward meals (depending on the plan you’re following), so you can still eat your favorite foods on a regular basis. Sounds pretty much perfect, right? You can eat healthy foods, enjoy foods you love, and still lose weight.
While each plan has a different mix of high-carb and low-carb days, each day works basically the same:
  • Eat five meals—no more, no less.
  • Eat a high-carb breakfast that includes both protein and carbs within 30 minutes of waking.
  • Eat your remaining 4 meals—either high-carb or low-carb, depending on the plan you’re following—every 3 hours.
  • Choose approved foods (Sign up on Chris’ website to receive a FREE printable food guide!)
  • Drink a gallon of water.

Replace the Staples – Keys to Build a Better Pantry

Replace the Staples – Keys to Build a Better Pantry

Natural (Plain) $13: Use as substitute of any other oil (vegetable, olive, canola, etc.) Use with any blend to marinate/season chicken, pork chops or steak, sauté shrimp & veggies. (1/3 less for baking)

Roasted Garlic $13: Drizzle in pan to sauté chicken, add to Rancher Steak Rub to roast potatoes. My favorite GSO to marinate any kind of meat in! Fry eggs – sauté veggies

Butter $13: Pop popcorn, use in a spray mister as a cooking spray, use instead of vegetable oil for baking, sautéing veggies or chicken or make grilled cheese. **Used in Alfredo as a butter replacement.

Coconut Oil $9: Great for baking, frying eggs. I use coconut oil when I am not cooking at a high temperature because the flash point is much lower, which is why it is so good for baking. You can also use as a moisturizer, as diaper rash cream, also great on eczema! Make a body scrub – 1 part sugar 2 parts coconut oil. Pop popcorn too!

Sides/Entrees/Salad Dressings

Alfredo $17: add milk & butter oil. Pour over any kind of pasta. Cheese tortellini is our favorite. Use as white sauce on chicken alfredo pizza! Replace Cream of Mushroom Soup – add with any grapeseed oil to oyster crackers – replace goldfish crackers

Bouillon Soup Base $12: ½ the amount of sodium! I like to add it to rice to give it some extra flavor. Choose from Chicken, vegetable, or beef. Use in a crockpot with water and replace Raman Noodles!

Salad Dressing – Italian $7.50 and Ranch $8: Stop shopping in the dressing isle. Great on salad, or drizzled over cucumbers and tomatoes. Also works great as a marinade for chicken breast! Mix with sour cream for a delicious veggie dip! No need for Rice-A-Roni - Mix in with plain rice and boil.

Kids Cheez $16: Makes HEALTHY Mac N Cheese for the kids. They Love it. Sprinkle over popcorn. Make a cheese sauce to put over veggies.

Oatmeal Mixer $6.50: Add to oatmeal extra flavor without all of the sugar. The sugar and spice is AWESOME on sweet potatoes fries, or make cinnamon tortilla chips to use with fruit salsa. Sprinkle on toast or in applesauce. Bake pumpkin or apple anything!

Spaghetti Blend $18: Add 1 TBSP to 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes for excellent, easy, quick spaghetti sauce. I add ground beef or ground turkey for meat sauce. Use with tomato paste/sauce for pizza sauce, add to butter on garlic bread.

15 Minute Simple Dinners: Stroganoff $8, Lasagna $9, Pot Pie Skillet $8, and Meatloaf $6 are our favorites!!! Quick, easy meal that replaces hamburger helper! Dinner in 15 min!

Taco Seasoning $15: Great flavor in taco meat (beef, turkey or chicken), nachos, taco dip, & Mexican pizza. Sprinkle over popcorn. Mix w sour cream and cream cheese for Taco Dip.
Simple Seasonings

Absolutely Onion Blend $10 & Dill Dip $8: Replaces my onion soup mix! Great on Roast, over roasted potatoes, or as a dip! My kids love their veggies – mix a little sour cream!! Half the amount of sodium than Lipton’s Onion Soup Mix!

Garlic Galore $9: What can’t you do with this blend is a better question? Mix in mashed potatoes, great with grapeseed oil & vinegar and toss over salad, brush on meat before grilling, use with sour cream for dip, use with cream cheese for bagel spread. Use in place of crushed or minced garlic in all recipes!

Rancher Steak Rub $25: 500 servings - I use this blend on everything, I’m not kidding!!!! EVERYTHING!! Use on chicken, steak, pork chops, tuna, fish, potatoes, hash browns, eggs, egg salad, croutons! Excellent in hamburgers.
