Grill Like a Pro this Summer!

Grill Like a Pro this Summer
Grilling season is upon us and we couldn’t be more excited! Between cookouts, family parties, and those summer burger cravings, you’re bound to put in some serious time over the burners. But before you grab your tongs and favorite marinade check out these expert tips and become a grill master in no time.
  • Turn up the heat. Allow your oven to preheat at least 10 to 15 minutes before grilling. The hot grates will prevent your food from sticking (and help create those great grill marks!).
  • Read the label. Add some flavor to your meal but be mindful of the ingredients. Marinades and rubs with higher sugar content will burn more quickly.
  • Be patient. Don’t jump the gun on flipping your food and try to avoid poking at it with a spatula. You want the juices to stay and it to flip when it’s ready.
  • Eat your greens. Charred veggies are trendy and delicious. Experiment with different kinds and add some color to your plate.
  • Let it rest. Always let your meat sit for 10 minutes before serving.  This allows for the juices to evenly redistribute resulting in a moist and flavorful piece of protein.
  • Keep it clean. Be sure to maintain a clean grill. Doing so will prevent grease fires and keep the grates from sticking to your next meal.
